About the Children's Resilience Initiative™ Empowering community understanding of the forces that shaped us and our children. The Children's Resilience Initiative™ (CRI) is working to increase the positive, resilience-building experiences in the lives of the children, parents and families in our community. How? Vision: all young people thrive and parents raise their children with consistency and nurturance to develop lasting resilience in the community as a whole. Mission: Mobilizing the community through dialogue to radically reduce the number of adverse childhood experiences while building resilience and a more effective service delivery system. Goals: We are striving to create a community conversant in ACEs and resilience with the capacity to foster resilience on a continuum. Please see our theory of change and outcomes for: Parents; Schools. Who is doing this work? CRI is a team of community members led by Teri Barila of the Community Networks (Family Policy Council) and Mark Brown, Executive Director of FRIENDS of Children of Walla Walla. |
